Round 17: Dec x 6. (6st)
Fasten off. Round 17 is the top of your pudding where the icing will be placed.
Icing
Using natural/off-white and a 2.5mm hook:
Round 1: 6sc in a MR. (6st)
Round 2: BLO Inc x 6. (12st)
Round 3: (Sc, inc) x 6. (18st)
Round 4: (2sc, inc) x 6, (24st)
Round 5: (3sc, inc) x 6. (30st)
Round 6: (4sc, inc) x 6. (36st)
Round 7 - 9 (3 rounds): Sc in all 36st. (36st)
Round 13: Starting in the third st from the hook so you are skipping the first 2 sts, (7dc in the first st, sk2, slst) x 6.
Fasten off. Leave a long tail. We will use this to sew the icing to the pudding. Set aside.
Holly leaves (make 2)
Using green and a 2.5 mm hook:
Round 1: 4sc in a MR, 2ch, slst in the 2nd ch from the hook (forming a picot), 4sc in MR.
Sew in the beginning thread.
Berry (make 1)
Using red/crimson and a 2.5mm hook:
Round 1: 6sc in a MR. (6st)
Round 2: BLO Inc x 6. (12st)
Round 3: (Sc, dec) x 6. (6st)
Thread needle through front loops of round 3 and fasten off. Leave a long tail. We will use this to sew the berry to the icing. Set aside.
You can make as many berries as you like. I like to use one so it also looks like a little bud flower.
Assembly
Step 1: Sew the leaves to the top of the icing. I use the back loops of round 2 of the icing to help me with this.
Step 2: Sew the holly berry to the icing, in the middle of the two leaves. You can hide all your ends on the under-side of the icing.
Step 3: Sew the icing to the pudding making sure that you are sewing down the bottom of the scallops.
Step 4: Add a little string so you can hang it from your tree! I like to use red and white twine for that christmassy feel!
Done! Your tiny fruit pudding is ready.
